A Central Highly Accessible Location

Yakima County is located in South Central Washington State, 145 miles southeast of Seattle.  The geography varies from densely timbered, mountainous terrain at the crest of the Cascade Mountain Range in the west, to rolling foothills, broad valleys, and arid sagebrush-covered regions to the east, to fertile valleys in the central and southern parts of the county.  It’s the second largest geographical county in Washington State at 4,312 acres with the highest point being Mount Adams at 12,277 feet (3,742 meters) above sea level. The city of Yakima sits at 1,068 feet; it is the tenth largest city in Washington State and contains over 35% of the population (84,710).  Ninety percent of Washington State’s population is within a 3-hour drive from Yakima.
